United by Creation

Artists from various disciplines come together to co-create vivid and crossdisciplinary performances.

JOLDA creates work through collaboration and co-authorship bringing together artists from diverse disciplines including choreography, music, visual art, and theatre. Our creative process is collective allowing each production to reflect a fusion of voices, perspectives, and artistic languages.

Rooted in Meaning, Moved by Image

Exploration as a method

As a contemporary dance theatre from Central Asia, JOLDA creates works where meaning, movement, and image are inseparable. Our performances are grounded in authenticity shaped by ancestral memory, cultural codes, and lived experience.

We work with symbols, archetypes, and emotional landscapes inviting the audience to perceive beyond the literal. Traditional instruments like the qobyz and shanqobyz meet contemporary sound, choreography becomes language, and visuals carry inner worlds.

JOLDA’s creations are both deeply local and intuitively global — born from specific roots, yet resonant across borders.
